Welcome from our President.

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to announce that St. Norbert College and the Medical College of Wisconsin – Green Bay Campus will be hosting the 77th Annual Meeting of the North Central Branch of the American Society for Microbiology, October 6-7, 2017. Among the speakers at this year’s meeting will be Dr. Karl Klose. A reception featuring heavy hors d’oeuveres and an open bar will be held at Titletown Brewing in downtown Green Bay following the Friday sessions.

Students are enthusiastically encouraged to attend and present. The top three oral and poster presentations in both the undergraduate and graduate student categories will be recognized with cash awards.

Registration and abstract submission information can be found by following the links on the top of this page. Registration and abstract submission forms will be posted by early August 7, so please check back.

To help you with planning, here are some important dates:

  • September 9, 2017    Early registration deadline
  • September 9, 2017    Abstract submission deadline

The St. Norbert College campus is listed as an arboretum and is across the Fox River from a riverwalk, fishing pier, and bicycling trail.  The Green Bay area is home to several cultural and historic sites, a vibrant downtown, and of course the legendary Lambeau Field. We’ve included a couple of links on the Explore De Pere page that we hope will help you explore the area while you’re here.

We hope to see you at this year’s meeting!
